About the NPHC of Orange County

OUR HISTORY

The Orange County National Pan-Hellenic Council (OCNPHC) was chartered on June 5, 2011 by members of the Divine Nine who sought to create a space for unity, service, and community among Black Greek Letter Organizations in Orange County, California. Despite African Americans representing less than 2% of the county’s population of approximately 3.18 million, the vision of our founders was clear: to build a presence, a network, and a legacy that uplifts and empowers.

The purpose of OCNPHC is to consider questions, problems, and programs of mutual interest to its members and to facilitate and coordinate intra-council educational, civic, cultural, and social activities. It is also our mission to serve as a bridge between graduate and undergraduate chapters, fostering continuity and collaboration across generations of Black Greek leadership.

We, the Orange County National Pan-Hellenic Council, are dedicated to improving intra-council programming, eliminating barriers, and promoting the general welfare of our community in accordance with the values and vision of the National Pan-Hellenic Council.
